Product Care and Warranty

If you experience damage to your purchase due to manufacturing, we recommend you contact us so we may evaluate your piece. Customers in the US and Canada will receive free return labels. For customers outside of those countries, a $50 deposit will be taken before the shipment of your item to Lands Collection for evaluation, which covers the cost of shipping the item and an evaluation by our expert jewelers to determine if the damage is warrantied. This fee is refunded in full for all warrantied repairs. We also offer complimentary shipping back to the customer for all warrantied repairs. Repairs that are not covered under the lifetime warranty will have a price quoted to the customer for approval before work is performed. If approved, the deposit will be applied to this repair. If the customer chooses not to perform the repair, the deposit will be applied to cover the shipping charge back to the customer after evaluation.

Modern Electrum is constructed with a final plating process. Protect the plating on your jewelry by removing your jewelry when washing your hands, swimming, exercising, cleaning and before applying any kind of personal body product.

Please take time to be sure that any cosmetics or alcohol-based solutions (hand sanitizers, hairsprays, lotions or perfumes), are dry on your skin before putting on your jewelry, as repeated contact with such chemicals can cause the materials to dull or oxidize.

Please remove jewelry when bathing, cleaning, or performing strenuous physical activities. Wearing in very humid, or salty environments (such as a beach, sauna, or pool) is not recommended as it can cause the piece to stain prematurely. Immersing in water that contains any chemicals like chlorine may cause irreversible damage.

To minimize the appearance of surface scratches, limit the exposure to abrasive surfaces. It is always best to rotate your jewelry as uninterrupted use may cause the materials to break down prematurely.

For storage, simply place in a pouch or box received at purchase away from dust, moisture, heat, and humidity. Lightly polish with polishing cloth.

If a warranty issue is found, Lands Collection will repair the warrantied damage or replace the item without charge.

Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than Land Collection will void the warranty. Lands Collection will replace any damaged jewelry within 30 days of purchase. All jewelry can be affected by normal wear, activities, or trauma. This is especially true for rings since hands are actively used and subject to daily pressure. Our manufacturing warranty excludes coverage for wear and tear, loss of gemstones, product loss, or theft. Coverage also excludes damage or loss caused by a failure to obtain the repairs required to preserve the integrity of the jewelry.

Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:

The discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, make-up, immersion in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
Precious metals, and especially prongs, wear down over time and may require restoration work as part of normal wear.
Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or normal damage, allowing a gemstone to fall out.
The loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or from other damage.

What is the Lands Collection Warranty Policy?

Lands Collection wants you to enjoy your jewelry free of defects and we offer a 5 year warranty from your date of purchase.

CALIFORNIA ONLY: For purchases made in California that are later shipped to the consumer, the warranty period shall be five (5) years from the date of delivery to the consumer.

LANDS COLLECTION ’s warranty obligations are limited to the terms set forth below:

1. Warranty Coverage
LANDS COLLECTION warrants to original consumer purchasers that all LANDS COLLECTION products, (“Products”) purchased through an authorized LANDS COLLECTION distribution channel, such as a LANDS COLLECTION store, an authorized multi-brand seller, or the LANDS COLLECTION eStore or other authorized online, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary consumer use for a period of one (5) year from the date of original retail purchase. During this warranty period, if a defect in the Product is identified, and you follow the instructions for returning the Product, LANDS COLLECTION will either (i) repair the Product or (ii) replace with a new Product that is equivalent to the Product that is to be replaced. LANDS COLLECTION shall have no obligation to repair, replace or refund until the defective Product is returned to LANDS COLLECTION. A replacement or repaired Product will assume the remaining warranty of the original Product or a warranty period of ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever period is longer. When a refund or replacement is given, the returned Product becomes LANDS COLLECTION ’s property.

Please have available the following information: (i) the Product you purchased, (ii) your sales receipt reflecting the date on which you purchased the Product, and (iii) the name of the seller from which you purchased the Product.

3. Exclusions and Limitations
This warranty applies only to Products purchased through authorized LANDS COLLECTION distribution channels, unless otherwise prohibited by law. Because LANDS COLLECTION cannot vouch for the authenticity of products purchased through unauthorized channels nor the quality control procedures of the retailers in those channels, this warranty is not available for Products purchased from unauthorized sellers. This warranty does not cover lost or stolen items or defects or damage due to normal wear and tear or caused by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, or use of non-LANDS COLLECTION products together with LANDS COLLECTION Products. Attaching non-LANDS COLLECTION items may damage LANDS COLLECTION bracelets. Stretching of LANDS COLLECTION chains and bracelets is not considered a defect in materials or workmanship. Do not expose LANDS COLLECTION Products to harsh chemicals or environments, as they can alter the appearance of the Product. These include, but are not limited to, liquid polish, pools, hot tubs, and spas. Please refer to the PRODUCT USE & CARE instructions for additional information on caring for and protecting your LANDS COLLECTION Product. Failure to follow these instructions may constitute abuse, misuse, or misapplication of your LANDS COLLECTION Product.

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THOSE STATED HEREIN. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL LANDS COLLECTION BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
